Hi there Team Kelly :) Kelly is feeling like herself again. She had a great weekend with her family. Thank you for all of your prayers and love you send to her and all of us every day.
We cherish every gesture.
Sweet Lindsay in San Francisco has hope for Kelly...she ran the Nike Woman's Marathon benefiting the
Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
She wrote on her arm a list of people to pray for each mile.
Tears fell from Kelly's eyes when she heard about this.
Makes me cry writing it.
Oh and by the way, Lindsay is winning her battle with Leukemia! Go Lindsay!
Gayla has hope too :) She donated blood at Carter!
Love you Gayla!
Kelly's childhood friend Wendy shared this on FB:
My TEAM KELLY race and support gear is ready for the Healdsburg Half Marathon this Saturday in CA! I am running to support of my dear friend Kelly Prewitt Stewart, who is winning the battle against Pancreatic Cancer! Kelly, you truly are an inspiration ~ Ain't no mountain high enough!
Wendy is also going to be walking in the Purple Stride benefiting Pancreatic Cancer research/cure. You can find more info at thepurplestride.org. Are you going to walk? We would love for you to join us! How cool would it be to flood the Katie Trail with TEAM KELLY? You can look back at the last blog post for all the info. It's Sunday November 11th at 8am.
What better way to spend a Sunday morning?!?!
Our devotion from a few days ago~
Anxiety is a result of envisioning the future without Me. So the best defense against worry is staying in communication with Me. When you turn your thoughts toward Me, you can think much more positively. Remember to listen, as well as to speak, making your thoughts a dialogue with Me. If you must consider upcoming events, follow these rules: 1) Do not linger in the future, because anxieties sprout up like mushrooms when you wander there. 2) Remember the promise of My continual Presence; include Me in any imagery that comes to mind. This mental discipline does not come easily, because you are accustomed to being god of your fantasies. However, the reality of My Presence with you, now and forevermore, outshines any fantasy you could ever imagine.
Kelly has a CT scan tomorrow (Wednesday at 10:30am) Will you pray for her to repeat this devotion in her head, keeping her eyes on Him? That He will squash all the anxiety! Pray she can drink the barium quickly. Pray this scan gives her the encouragement to keep WINNING this battle!
Much love to all of you TEAM KELLY :)
