A thank you gift for all of you, Team Kelly!

Hi again Team Kelly :)
We have a little thank you gift for you!  Our sweet cousins organized this...we sure hope you can all come!!!  I know I've said it before, but it really is hard to express gratitude.  We couldn't make it through all this without your support and prayers.

Dallas Summer Musicals (DSM), in addition to bringing the Best of Broadway to Dallas, has several education and outreach programs for children, including the DSM High School Musical Awards, the DSM Academy of Performing Arts, DSM Kids’ Club, Seats for Kids, among others. Although best known for presenting musicals, DSM has a real passion for children. When DSM heard about Kelly’s kids and the number of other children involved in Team Kelly, they wanted to know what they could do to help.

So, DSM has graciously provided Kelly and Jason with a way to thank members of Team Kelly for their incredible support. “Peter Pan”, starring Cathy Rigby, will be at the State Fair Music Hall from July 10 through July 22, 2012. DSM has offered to let people who support Kelly purchase tickets to Peter Pan at a 20% Discount!

Kelly will be attending the matinee on Sunday, July 22nd, and you are welcome to join us as we show support for Kelly and thank her supporters. But there is even more good news - the discount offer is for any of the performances during Peter Pan’s run at the Music Hall. So, even if you can not attend the July 22nd matinee, but would like to see a great, family musical at an incredible price, see the information below.

Let’s flood Fair Park's Music Hall with Team Kelly...sporting our shirts of course!  If you can't make it, you will be missed.  Thank you, Team Kelly, for your love, support, encouragement and prayers.  Thank you DSM for your generosity.  Thank you cousins for this amazing idea and executing it.  We love you all to pieces!!!

restored...

Hi Team Kelly!  It's been a great week so far.  Remember Alex?  Our famous song writer?  He has created a video to 'Expect a Miracle'.  Thanks so much to Alex and Laura for all your hard work on this beautiful song.  It brings us great joy to hear our kids walking around the house singing this Team Kelly anthem :) The link to the video is at the top of the blog.

alex and matt (owner of NAMS) who made the recording possible!

She is feeling so much better!  She spent last week in a foggy, tired, chemo ridden body...but God has restored her back to her beautiful, happy self.  She is even on her way to Oklahoma to join in on the last few days at Camp WOW!! Monday, all the kids left for camp with Prestonwood Baptist Church.  Her dear, sweet and hilarious friend, Angela, helped them all get there.  Our kids looooove Ms. Angela.  She is just a people magnet.  She draws you in, makes you laugh, and you just feel happy inside when you're around her.  I can't wait to hear how God has blessed our kids this week...and how Angela and sweet Julie survived it all!  More on Camp WOW and Prestonwood VBS to come!

chemo...finally!

Hi Team Kelly :)  She was able to get treatment today!!!  5th one down, one more to go!  God's timing allowed for kelly to have 6 amazing weeks of feeling great.  She seemed to do really well today with the treatment.  It was a long day in the chemo lounge as she is the first one there and the last one to leave.  But she is home and resting.  She will continue chemo through a pouch at home for 48 hours...then returns to get that out on Thursday.  She'll get another booster shot on Friday.  Pray for comfort as she finishes out this treatment.

Here are few pics of TK sightings...which gives kelly tremendous amounts of joy!!

Today's devotion...

I am the firm foundation on which you can dance and sing and celebrate My Presence.  This is My High and Holy calling for you; receive it as a precious gift.  Glorifying and enjoying Me is a higher priority than maintaining a tidy, structured life.  Give up your striving to keep everything under control--an impossible task and a waste of precious energy.  My guidance for each of My children is unique.  That's why listening to Me is so vital for your well-being.  Let me prepare you for the day that awaits you and point you in the right direction.  I am with you continually, so don't be intimidated by fear.  Though it stalks you, it cannot harm you, as long as you cling to My hand.  Keep your eyes on Me, enjoying Peace in My Presence.

Psalm 5:11; Ephesians 3:20-21; Jude 24-25; Joshua 1:5

Tomorrow is scary...always.  But we know fear can't harm us and we won't let it intimidate us.  Thank you, Jesus, for getting us through today.

Please continue to pray for minimal side effects and high spirits.  Pray she stays hydrated and nourished.  Thank Him for hearing our prayers.  Many many thanks to all of you, Team Kelly, for enormous amounts of outpouring love and support.  We are forever in debt to your gracious acts of kindness.

Team Kelly Has a Song!!

Will has a friend, Alex.  He wanted to do something for Team Kelly.  How awesome is this?...

There are so many ways members of Team Kelly have used their unique gifts and talents to show their love and support for her! Alex Alford, a classmate of Will’s and friend of the Stewart family for as long as he can remember, was inspired by posts in the Team Kelly blog to write her a song! Alex’s greatest passion is music and he wanted to put this passion to work in a big way for Kelly. Integrating the themes of hope and the incredible power of prayer, ‘Expect a Miracle’ is a song created especially for Kelly that he hopes you enjoy, too! Many thanks to our friends at NAMS Frisco (Neighborhood Arts & Music School) for making this recording possible.

Click on the ‘Expect a Miracle’ button to download.  If you’d like to make a donation in exchange for downloading the song, all proceeds go directly to Team Kelly!

Driving to the post office to mail some Team Kelly shirts...I listened to your song, Alex.  Tears fell on my steering wheel and lap.  My heart stopped and started and leaped with uncontrollable joy.  Hope and miracles we see every day now with Team Kelly...your song paints a beautiful picture of how we see God's love working in all of us.  Thank you for blessing us with your musical talents.  His love shines through every note.  So...now Team Kelly has an anthem!

8800 to 67...

No chemo again.  Same old song...but different tune!  Her counts are going up, just not quite enough.  Platelets are much higher, but we need the white blood cells to climb a little higher.  They are giving kelly another series of booster shots at a higher dose this week.  The really amazing news is that the tumor marker test is now at 67!  It's highest was 8800.  Kelly asked nurse Barbara if the chemo was still at work in her body.  Barb said no.  It's been too long since she's had treatment.  She couldn't explain or understand why the tumor marker number keeps going down. Faith...believing in something that is not seen.  We expect miracles.  We pray for miracles.  We receive miracles!!  Thank you, Jesus, for strengthening our Faith in these numbers we can see...that science can't explain.

So we will try again next week.  Pray for counts to keep going up and for her spirits to stay up as well! Thank you all for lifting kelly up in your prayers today and every day...much love to you TEAM KELLY :)

team kelly prayer warriors and world travelers...

Facebook has reunited kelly with her high school algebra teacher...Coach Davis.  How many students has he taught and coached?  Well she obviously must have made an impression...shocker, I know ;)
She even helped name his first born...Brice.
I think she just barely passed this class...naming his baby might have helped a little :)

As in math, + then - , X then /.   You gotta be able to do things backwards and forwards.
I'm very proud to be representing Team Kelly.  This message comes with a hug! -Coach Davis

Love these pics from TEAM KELLY'S world travelers!

I must sound like a broken record...but she feels great.  She received 5 booster shots last week to bring her counts up.  These shots can be very painful, but she feels great and hasn't had any pain other than feeling a little sore...we are so grateful for that minimal side effect.  She will hopefully get her 5th treatment tomorrow.  So keep those prayers and good vibes coming!

Here is our devotion for tomorrow...possible chemo day~
Let Me help you get through this day.  There are many possible paths to travel between your getting up in the morning and your lying down at night.  Stay alert to the many choice-points along the way, being continually aware of My Presence.  You will get through this day one way or the other.  One way is to moan and groan, stumbling along with shuffling feet.  This will get you to the end of the day eventually, but there is a better way.  You can choose to walk with Me along the path of Peace, leaning on Me as much as you need.  There will still be difficulties along the way, but you can face them confidently in My strength.  Thank Me for each problem you encounter and watch to see how I transform trials into blessings.

Team Kelly prayer warriors...please pray this:
1.  For anxiety about receiving or not receiving treatment
2.  For counts to be high
3.  For a positive, optimistic, fighting attitude
4.  For peace and comfort throughout the day
5.  For her nurses and doctor to be accurate and confident
6.  Thank Him for prayer warriors all over the world
7.  Thank Him for this trial that has birthed so many blessings in all of our lives
