team kelly wristbands!

My daughter Madison created a purple support wristband for Kelly. If you would like one, send a text or email and I’ll send it to you. You may order as many as you like. They are $2 each and Madison is giving all the money she collects to Team Kelly.

Thanks!

today...

So sorry...didn't mean to keep you in such suspense! Blog updates are obviously wanted and needed...have we turned you into blog stalkers? :) She is feeling soooo good! She is so much better! Kelly has been busy since Sunday. Crazy busy! She actually drove her car this week. Sam asked her if she remembered how to drive. Ella was just excited she took her to school and picked her up in the same day! We know she could have driven sooner, but we kinda swarm her and don't let her DO anything. TEAM KELLY is so present and always doing...she has no clue where anything is in her house, because she isn't doing the laundry. or dishes. or cleaning. TEAM KELLY is AMAZING.

this is from kelly:

Thankful for today!! Thankful for the many little blessings in today!!
Energy to take and pick up kids
Going to school to see my girl on poetry day
Seeing my school teacher friends
HUGS!!...cuz hugs are healthy!
Running into a dear friend at Kroger and getting a hug from her...praying for you Laura!
Yummy dinners from good friends
Uninteruppted time with close friends last night
Laughter
A walk outside with my family
My crazy wild hair!!!!!
Orange juice from Denise
Baseball and softball games and fun fans!
Shopping...retail therapy!
Jason's love for me!
My sisters!
Team Kelly shirts!
Madison Bosquez....team Kelly bracelets!
Small but dear chat with Kathy
Lunch with the girls!
Looking at the future is scary and unknown and can be overwhelming...therefore I am just thinking of today and thankful for today and it's many many blessings!

From the kid's version of Jesus Calling devotion:
Just Today~
I have made this day for you. Be careful not to complain about anything in it - not your English test, not your frizzy hair, not the weather - because I am the Creator of this day. Instead, decide to be happy today. Open your eyes, and choose to look for the blessings I have hidden in this day. Just live today. Don't think about mistakes you've made in the past. Don't worry about what will happen tomorrow. It will only end up wasting today. I want you to enjoy abundantly in My Presence--TODAY!

When the sun comes up, she thanks Him for today...she asks Him to show her the good in today. Some nights are really difficult to go to sleep, thinking of the future. But one day at a time, He reminds her that He is present and has already designed this blessed day.

Happy Easter TEAM KELLY!! We're getting all these texts from friends and family wishing us a happy easter. It made us think of our new family...TEAM KELLY...made of so many friends, and friends of friends...that we don't even know and have never met...following this blog. This week we got a picture of someone wearing a TEAM KELLY shirt but we have yet to figure out who she is. Just love that...a friend of a friend of a friend praying for kelly and our family.

Still want a shirt? Ordering tomorrow! Let me know size, quantity and if you will pick up locally...if not then your address. Mail checks to Carol Davis, 830 Mustang Ridge, Murphy, TX 75094. $10 a shirt. GO TEAM KELLY :)

Kelly is feeling much better by the way...thank you for lifting up in prayer this weekend!

got hope?...team kelly expects a miracle!

Chemo has kicked kelly down again this go round...she is dehydrated again...so more IVs and more time spent in the chemo lounge. While she'd rather be home, He is blessing her by nurses and other patients with every visit. We have another favorite nurse...miss crystal. She loves our team kelly t-shirts...especially the "expect a miracle" part of the shirt. To fill you in on why that little saying is on the sleeve...uncle kevin gave us girls in the family a james avery charm that says "expect a miracle"...we all wear them every day. So miss crystal sang to kelly tuesday as she closed the chemo lounge down. She sang softly in a quiet room in the midst of tornadoes and thunder and rain...a song her husband sings to her about expecting miracles. It moved kelly...brought her to tears and she felt His Presence in that room. He does know our needs, even when we don't.

Sweet crystal and precious tammy (and the guy playing a guitar in the chemo lounge) are lifting kelly up. All the TEAM KELLY shirts being worn around the country are giving her the encouragement to fight! The Stix and the Heat baseball teams that prayed on the pitchers mound and proudly played in their TEAM KELLY jerseys have brought so much happy to her sweet smiling face. Ella's many moms who showed up at her play...when kelly couldn't...to clap for her baby girl...she can't even begin to express her gratitude. It is so incredible what God is doing in kelly's life with these loving and generous Christ-like friends. Our papa, pastor larry, says there is no greater joy for Him, than seeing His children be like Christ. I know His heart is pleased at the kindness of TEAM KELLY!

Please pray this:
1. Thank Him for blessings in the chemo lounge
2. Thank Him for TEAM KELLY cheering her on at the ballpark
3. Thank Him for sweet Ella who didn't freak out about mommy missing her play at school
4. Pray for strength and endurance...for the shot to boost her energy this Easter weekend
5. For her to stay nourished and hydrated
6. For jason, will, ben, sam and ella...always

oh yeah...if you are sporting your TEAM KELLY shirt around town...send me a pic...i'm sure she would love to see how present we are all over the world!

team kelly...

We are speechless...shirts are coming out of our ears! Over 400 shirts were sent to print and shipped Friday...100 were printed before that! Working our way up to 600! Oh and by the way...TEAM KELLY is not just national...we are GLOBAL...from Canada to Israel, prayers are being sent up every minute of every day...to One God. Thank you Jesus for this miracle in numbers. We laugh at ourselves thinking why this surprises us...when He can feed 5000 on just a loaf of bread and a few fish? I suppose we weren't meant to comprehend or fathom His love and power. It's just TOO much to wrap our little human heads around.

Still want a shirt? It's not too late...let me know by tomorrow night...size, quantity and if you can pick up locally...if not, than your address. Please mail checks to: Carol Davis, 830 Mustang Ridge, Murphy, TX 75094. To all those that ordered shirts on the first go round...we are organizing and will get them to you as soon as we can :)

Prayers for tonight:
1. Thank Him for TEAM KELLY
2. Pray for her as she receives her 3rd treatment tomorrow
3. Pray that the chemo keeps shrinking tumors
4. Pray that her side effects be as minimal as they were on round 2
5. She is less anxious about her hair...thank Him for answering that specific prayer
6. Pray for jason, will, ben, sam and ella...always

New haircut

You might see the title of this post and think that chemo has taken it's toll on Kelly's beautiful hair. Not yet.
Remember earlier when Sam said he wanted to shave his head to support his mom? He decided today after school he needed to get the ball rolling. When Aunt Kim pulled out the clippers, we had to talk him out of a "0", so he settled with a "1".

Sam really wanted a 'clean shave',
but Kelly told him he'd get sunburned.

Work in progress, but the face just didn't fit the style.
